Middle School

Ministry for middle school youth is centered Confirmation. Confirmation is a formation ministry that is central to God's mission through Epiphany, where we are a community being formed from the cradle to the grave as disciples of the living Christ.

When a child is baptized, parents and sponsors make promises on behalf of the child. As an adolescent, the baptized child is called upon to publicly affirm the promises made on his or her behalf. Confirmation is an intentional focus that equips the baptized adolescent to more deeply identify with the church and to participate more fully in her mission.

Confirmation is three-year process, with persons entering into confirmation concurrent with beginning the 6th grade in school and being confirmed at the end of their 8th grade year. Middle School meets during the school year.

Middle School Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings during the school year, at 9:45, our middle school youth meet for fellowship and formation with Middle School guides. These adult asset-builders facilitate small group discussion. Youth engage in the Scripture and together discover what the text is saying to them right here, right now in their daily lives.

We expect engagement and participation in Sunday morning worship services.

Forms for Youth Activities

Medical release forms  should be on file before youth attend off-site or overnight events at Epiphany. Activity consent forms are required for each off-site and/or overnight activity for Epiphany children and youth and will be provided by the church office.

Middle School Group Covenant

Respect for all, all the time. Timeliness, preparedness and participation, all the time. Cheerfully serving when asked. No cliques. Be the church!
