Resurrection from the Rubble
Lenten Journey: Worship and Prayer
Wednesdays at 7 p.m., through March 24
As our attention has been drawn to the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the theme for our Wednesdays in Lent is Resurrection from the Rubble. The rubble in Haiti is a metaphor for the human condition. Our lives are compromised by the weight of sin and brokenness. The rubble of sin in our lives blinds us so that we are not able to see ourselves as we really are and to experience God with clarity. It is God's desire that we be truly free from the rubble and live fully in the light of his grace. This Lenten journey will take us on a path to recognizing the rubble, turning to God, and being raised up to new life.
