Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.

- Hebrews 10:23

  1. Worship regularly with the Epiphany congregation.
  2. Invest in intentional relationships of mutual immersion in the scriptures, support, growth, and encouragement.
  3. Order your household so that generous giving for God's mission is planned and habitual.
  4. Serve others as the hands and feet of Christ in the world.
  5. Pray for the world, the church, our community, and our congregational leaders.
  6. Invite others to share in our experience of grace.

Why practicing the 6 Acts matters ...

Epiphany people talk about the 6 Acts ...

As stewards, we embrace perspectives, practices, and skills that assist us in being faithful and trustworthy. These include:

  1. Trusting in God's abundance.
  2. Being intentionally grounded in biblical and theological principles.
  3. Holding a holistic perspective.
  4. Perceiving connectedness.
  5. Engaging and critiqueing culture.
  6. Embracing financial health as an expression of faith.

Annual Appeal for Missional Spending

April 2013 - March 2014

Appeal Prayer

O God, you call us to be devoted to you and to trust in your divine promises which are filled with goodness and abundance. As your Epiphany people, enter into us with your light and equip us to bring the good news of the empty tomb to all. Raise us up to be immune to the world's messages of fear and self-protection. Free us to dream and to give more generously from the abundance you shower on us. For you tell us that where we place our treasure our hearts will follow. Assist us to keep the promises that we have made to ourselves, this community, and the world. May all of us grow into spiritual redwoods who are bold in faith and who make you proud. Amen.

Our Focus

Everything that we are and what we can become all are made possible by the promises of a God who is forever faithful to us, raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, and calls us to be followers of Jesus as a community of faith. Because God's promises are our foundation, we must make some bold promises as Epiphany people -- the manifestation of God in the world.

With success in this appeal we will
keep our promises to ...

  • Grow in discipleship to the living Christ through biblical stewardship.
  • Grow in our promises to our children, youth, and this community.
  • Become a teaching congregation by developing and investing in a pastoral intern.
  • Walk alongside Lutheran Campus Ministry.
  • Multiply our outreach to the homeless and hungry in Gwinnett County, the children of Haiti, Rainbow Village, and the community.
  • Pursue the vision we began to set forth in Fall 2012.

From April 2012 until now, we have
kept our promises to ...

  • Complete a facility expansion
  • Call and hire a Young Children's Formation Coach
  • Continue to make outreach beyond our doors the largest use of all of our resources by investing in
    • Rainbow Village
    • The children of Haiti
    • Lutherock/Lutheridge Ministries
    • Our greater community
  • Continue to invest in one another and develop into spiritual redwoods
